Healthy Leicester

The priorities of the 'Healthy Leicester' campaign are to:

Raise awareness of Public Health issues

The city faces big challenges to reduce smoking, reduce obesity, improve sexual and mental health and tackle the harm from drugs and alcohol. We want to make sure that these are kept in the public eye.

Inform people about how they can improve their health

We all have a significant part to play in looking after our own health, and there is guidance and information available about how we can do so. We want to make sure that this information is promoted.

Inform people about what is available to support them to improve their health

There are lots of activities already happening within Leicester. We want to make sure that information about these is available.

Embed Public Health concerns into the daily work of the city

We hope that by supporting the Healthy Leicester campaign organisations and groups in Leicester can make improving health part of their routine work.
